Ukrainian seaports processed about 40 million tons of cargo in January-June

In January-June 2025, about 40 million tons of cargo were processed at seaports, of which 20.3 million tons were grain, 9.3 million tons were ores, and 2.1 million tons were ferrous metals

Agricultural cargoes make up the lion's share of the results of processing in ports. According to the Ukrainian Grain Association, in 2024 the harvest of grain and oilseed crops in Ukraine was 9.5% less than in 2023, – 75 million tons. Data from the State Customs Service for the first quarter of 2025 already showed an overall reduction in exports of goods by almost 7%.

During January-May of this year, 78 thousand TEU of container cargo were recorded in Ukraine, which is almost twice as much as during the same period in 2024.
