The return from June 6 to the pre-war trade regime between Ukraine and the European Union (DCFTA) will also mean the return of restrictions on 30 product groups instead of seven.that were in autonomous trading events (ATMs).
The most painful moment is that we are returning not just to the quotas for the seven product groups that are in the ATM, but to the conditions of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, which was established by the Association Agreement signed in 2014. It provides for about 30 quotas. In addition to wheat, corn, sugar, tomato paste, dairy products, ethanol, pork, beef, etc are added.
Farmers involved in value chains – for example, from wheat to flour – will be affected by the increase in quotas.
Although there are advantages for the domestic consumer - some products will fall in price in Ukraine.
