Imports of cattle and swine by-products increased by 9.3% in 4 months

From January to April 2025, Ukraine imported 4.7 thousand tons of by-products from cattle, swine, sheep, and horses, a 9.3% increase compared to the same period last year.

In monetary terms, imports reached $5.2 million, up 6.1% from the same period in 2024.

These by-products were primarily imported from Poland (47.4%), Brazil (18%), and France (14%).

Exports of these by-products in January–April 2025 increased by 15.2% compared to January–April 2024, reaching 1.1 thousand tons.

However, in monetary terms, exports generated $560 thousand, a 3.4% decrease compared to the same period in 2024.

The main buyers of Ukrainian cattle, swine, sheep, and horse by-products in January–April 2025 were Côte d'Ivoire (51.2%), Liberia (9.5%), and the UAE (8.6%).
