Ukraine reduced exports by 5,4% in five months – State Statistics Service

In January-May 2025, export of goods from Ukraine amounted to $16.9 billion, or 94.6% of the corresponding indicator for the previous year.

In January-May 2025, export of goods amounted to $16 946,8 million, or 94.6% compared to January-May 2024, imports – $31 540,3 million, or 113,9%.

The negative balance amounted to $14.59 billion. The export-import coverage ratio was 0,54 (for the same period last year - 0,65).

Foreign trade operations were carried out with partners from 220 countries.

During the reporting period, Ukraine most actively increased its exports of pharmaceutical products – by 24.5% compared to January-May last year, live animals and animal products – by 23.8%. At the same time, exports of grain crops reduced by 24.0% compared to the same period in 2024 (to $3.47 billion). The main increase in imports compared to the previous year was demonstrated by the supply of electric machines – by 68.4% (to $4.45 billion), grain crops – by 48.9% (to $92.7 million), mineral fuels, oil and processed products – by 22.3% (to $4.21 billion).
