Butter import increased by 26.9% over 4 months

In January–April 2025, Ukraine imported 3,300 tons of buttermilk, fermented or acidified milk, and cream, which is 26.9% more than in the same period of the previous year.

In monetary terms, imports increased by 17.9% compared to the first four months of 2024, reaching $6.6 million.

The majority of buttermilk, fermented or acidified milk, and cream was purchased from Poland (49.9%), Belgium (41.3%), and Germany (5.4%).

For exports, during the first four months of 2025, Ukraine shipped 1,800 tons of buttermilk, fermented or acidified milk, and cream, a 38.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

In monetary terms, exports increased by 52.9% compared to January–April 2024, reaching $2.6 million.
