Dairy trade volumes in May reached USD 67.6 million

In May 2025, the total volume of foreign trade in dairy products reached USD 67.6 million, marking a 17.3% increase compared to April (USD 57.6 million) and March (USD 57.7 million).

May saw record-breaking export volumes: +35% compared to April and +52% compared to March. Such high export volumes had not been recorded even in August–September 2022. Import volumes, however, decreased by 4.7% compared to April and by 16.1% compared to March.

Compared to May 2024, the value structure of exports in May 2025 shifted significantly: the share of butter and dairy fats increased from 17% to 48%, while the share of condensed milk and cream decreased from 41% to 30%, and the share of all types of cheese dropped from 25% to 14%.

The value structure of exports in May 2025 was as follows: Butter – 48%; Condensed milk and cream – 30%; Cheeses – 14%.

In terms of imports, there were no significant changes in the value structure between May 2025 and May 2024, with cheeses accounting for over 84% in both periods.
