Grain export by rail decreased by 30%

The volume of grain transported by rail for export from January to May decreased by 30%. Over the five months of this year, 12 million 743 thousand tons of grain cargo were transported by rail, which is 32% less than in the same period last year. At the same time, 11 million 351 thousand tons of grain were transported for export, a 30% reduction compared to the same five-month period last year.

A decline in transportation is also observed for other categories such as oil, meal, and cake. Specifically, 695,700 tons of oil were exported over the five months, a 10% decrease compared to the same period last year. The volume of meal and cake transported from January to May decreased by 6%, reaching 1 million 114 thousand tons.
