Activity in the Black Sea maritime transport market remains low. Export volumes from Ukraine are gradually decreasing, and the surplus of available tonnage is creating additional pressure on the market.
Despite this, freight rates remain stable: $17–19 per ton to Spain and $16–17 per ton to Italy.
Market transport rates from river ports:
- Izmail to Romania (1,000–3,000 tons) @ €8–9;
- Izmail to the eastern coast of Italy (5,000–7,000 tons) @ $29–30.
Market transport rates from seaports:
- Chornomorsk to the eastern coast of Italy (30,000–35,000 tons) @ $16–17;
- Chornomorsk to the eastern coast of Spain (25,000–30,000 tons) @ $17–19.
A total of 76 million tons of agricultural products have been exported via the Ukrainian corridor.
