On June 28, 2025, Ukraine and the Kingdom of Morocco signed a bilateral agreement on international road transport in Istanbul during the Global Transport Forum. The document opens new opportunities for developing trade, logistics, and economic cooperation between the two countries. Specifically, the agreement establishes the legal and organizational framework for international road freight and passenger transport, provides for the issuance of permits, and regulates transit issues. 

For freight transport, the agreement includes an exchange of permits, with details to be finalized during a meeting of a joint commission. 

This is Ukraine’s first road transport agreement with an African country and the first new road transport agreement with a foreign state in 10 years.
