Ukraine’s Ministry of Communities and Territories Development and Norway’s Ministry of Transport have agreed to extend the liberalization of freight transport. The “transport visa-free” arrangement will remain in effect at least until December 31, 2025, with the possibility of automatic extension.
This agreement allows freight vehicles meeting Euro-5 standards or higher to conduct bilateral and transit shipments without special permits, consistent with previous terms.
Ukraine first secured the “transport visa-free” agreement with Norway in August 2023. At the end of May, during the International Transport Forum in Leipzig, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development held talks with Norway’s State Secretary for Transport, Anne Abeli Sesilie Knibe. They agreed to convene a Mixed Commission meeting soon to formalize the extension of the “transport visa-free” policy.
This marks the second extension of the agreement, enabling permit-free freight transport.
