In January-April 2025, Ukraine imported 13,400 tonnes of cheese, a 16.5% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The cost of cheese imports reached $82.5 million, a 19.4% increase compared to the first four months of 2024. Cheeses were primarily imported from Poland (43.7%), Germany (10.7%), and the Netherlands (8.9%).
Ukrainian cheese exports during the same period increased by 22.2% compared to January-April 2024, reaching 4,400 tonnes. In monetary terms, exports reached $20.6 million, a 31.2% increase over the same period in 2024. The largest buyers of Ukrainian cheese in January-April 2025 were Moldova (34.8%), Kazakhstan (33.3%), and Germany (8.1%).
